What Yalla Masry is

Yalla Masry teaches spoken Egyptian Arabic (Masri) to English speakers through short lessons, spaced-repetition review, pronunciation practice and conversations with an AI chat partner. Units 1–2 and the free tools on the site are free. Yalla Masry Pro unlocks every unit, every scenario and unlimited AI chat.

Your account

• You sign in with your email address or a Google account.
• You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to use online services in your country if that is higher.
• Keep access to your email and Google account secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings. This deletes your learning data. It does not cancel a paid subscription by itself, so cancel that first (see below).

Payments and our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you buy Pro you also accept Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Subscriptions, trials and cancelling

• Pro costs $9.99 / month or $59.99 / year, plus any sales tax or VAT Paddle adds at checkout for your country. Current prices are on the pricing page.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Some learners are offered a 7-day free trial. You add a payment method to start it, you are not charged during the trial, and the first payment is taken when it ends unless you cancel before then.
• Cancel at any time in Settings. Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for (or the end of your trial), and you won't be charged again.
• If we change the price of Pro, we will email you before it applies to your next renewal.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• share your account, or resell or redistribute our lessons, audio or other content;
• scrape, copy or bulk-download the site or app;
• use the AI chat partner to produce unlawful, abusive or harmful content, or try to get around its limits;
• interfere with the service or try to access other people's data.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

The AI chat partner

The chat partner is generated by AI. It can make mistakes, including in spelling, grammar or cultural details, so treat it as practice rather than an authority. Don't share sensitive personal information in chats.

Our content

Lessons, phrases, audio, illustrations and the app itself belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own learning while your account is active.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Yalla Masry available and accurate, but it is provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable or change. We may add, change or remove lessons and features. If a change takes away a significant part of what Pro subscribers paid for, you can ask for a pro-rated refund of the remaining period.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt, and the courts of Egypt can hear any dispute about them. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring a claim there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
